Measuring Success Project
Started in 2010, the Oak Ridges Moraine Foundation’s Measuring Success research and monitoring project was launched to assess how effective the provincial government, the Oak Ridges Moraine Foundation and all other Moraine partners have been in meeting the Oak Ridges Moraine Conservation Plan’s original expectations and targets. The Oak Ridges Moraine, located in southern Ontario, covers approximately 190,000 hectares of land and stretches 160 kilometres from the Trent River in the east to the Niagara Escarpment in the west. - Covers 190,000 hectares and stretches 160 km from the Trent River to the Niagara Escarpment
- Forms the headwaters of 65 streams owing south to Lake Ontario and north to Lake Simcoe, Lake Scugog, Rice Lake and Georgian Bay
- Provides drinking water to more than 250,000 people on the Moraine and millions more in the Greater Toronto Area
